Forums
CRDO has two ongoing fora series:
1. The Clinical Trials Forum, for researchers and trialists (co-hosted with Melbourne Children's Trial Centre)
2. CRDO Need to Know Forum, for those involved in the coordination and day-to-day running of research. (Previously known as the Human Participant Research Coordination Forum)
Fora sessions are only available for staff members of the Melbourne Children’s Campus.
Clinical Trials Forum
The Clinical Trials forum is co-hosted with the MCTC and gives researchers a chance to discuss their research projects with an audience of experienced trialists and statistcians.
The Clinical Trials forum is held monthly on a Thursday. and is an informal discussion that gives Melbourne Children's campus researchers a chance to discuss their research projects with an audience of experienced trialists, and for MCRI staff to understand other campus research projects.
The group provides feedback and discusses strategies to overcome or avoid any obstacles identified by the speaker, including some of the more common obstacles Clinical Trials face. The Clinical Trials Forum is a two-way discussion, and we encourage presenters to come with questions for the audience, and the audience with questions for the presenter.

CRDO Need to Know Fora series has replaced the CRDO Human Participant Research Coordinator Fora series.
The Need to Know forum aims to:
· Provide advice, guidance and support in relation to conduct of human participant research
· Develop and provide resources, education and training that develops and supports a highly skilled, competent workforce
We also regularly run special forum sessions, not targeted to specific audiences, on topics of special interest or value to campus staff members.
